Manchester City full-back Wayne Bridge will not return to the England fold, unless centre-back John Terry is unavailable for selection, The Mirror has speculated.
The duo were embroiled in controversy earlier in the season, when the Chelsea captain allegedly had an extra-marital affair with a former partner of the Citizen.
The revelations in the media that followed led to Terry being stripped of the Three Lions captaincy by Fabio Capello, while Bridge decided to prematurely call time on his international career.
An unnamed source, supposedly close to Bridge, is quoted as saying: "Nothing has changed or will change as far as Wayne [Bridge] is concerned.
"He thought long and hard about it and feels he was making the right decision for him and England.
"He cannot and will not play in the same side as John Terry, so unless that changes, England have to respect his decision and move on."
