Chelsea Consider Move For £13m Premier League Playmaker

Steven Pienaar is apparently considering his options at Goodison Park ahead of this summer’s World Cup in his homeland and that news has sparked interest from London outfit Chelsea. The talented playmaker, valued around £13m, has been in good form this season but is apparently keen to secure Champions League football and may feel in order to do so he must seek a move away from the Toffees.

Carlo Ancelotti is looking at making a move for the Everton man and could well make an offer the 28 year old would find hard to refuse. The former Ajax man would surely be tempted by a move to a club who could offer him a shot at the Premier League title as well as guaranteed Champions League football. However he may be less keen on the possibility of not getting regular starts at Stamford Bridge given the wealth of talent on offer, strength in depth that results in the likes of Joe Cole having to warm the bench.

David Moyes will of course fight tooth and nail to prevent one of his prized assets from leaving the club but as evidenced by the moves away from Everton of the likes of Wayne Rooney and Joleon Lescott, he may find it hard to stop a move to London where he could well be offered the kind of financial package the Merseyside club can not afford to offer.
