New Real Madrid signing Ricardo Carvalho says that he has always longed to play for los Blancos and is also looking forward to his reunion with Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese has joined Madrid from Premier League champions Chelsea on a two-year deal for a reported €8 million transfer fee and will be officially presented as a Blanco today. Ahead of the press conference, the 32-year-old told Spanish sports daily Marca that he had always dreamed of playing for the nine-time European champions.
"This is an important step for me in my career. For a long time I have wanted to play for Real Madrid."
He added: "Wherever Mourinho goes, he wins. He is a great coach, as has already been demonstrated. Players have full confidence in him."
