Kevin Prince-Boateng Apologises To Chelsea Midfielder Michael Ballack

Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has issued a public apology to Chelsea star Michael Ballack after his tackle in Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley ruled the veteran out of Germany's World Cup squad.

Boateng, who is the half-brother of German international Jerome Boateng but will line up for Group D rivals Ghana at this summer's World Cup, insists that there was no malicious intent in the challenge.

"All I can do is apologise," the Pompey man told Sport Bild.

"I was just too late and I hit him straight on. It looked stupid. I apologized to him twice on the field and now for a third time.

"I am sorry. It was not intentional."
